Abandoned / Forgotten

In Abandoned / Forgotten places are not documented but recomposed. The point of departure is spatial experience that resists direct representation: transitional zones, emptied rooms, corridors one passes through without really noticing them. The images translate these situations into constructive layers in which individual motifs survive only as traces, edges, or tonal atmospheres.

The series is concerned with the moment when a space loses its original function and becomes something else — memory, residual structure, projection surface. The image field becomes the site of this transformation. What becomes visible here is less the concrete place itself than the way it continues to work in the mind long after it has ceased to play a role in everyday life.
